Alright...first...the important question (if you guys can get me an answer by tonight...that'd be sweet, since I'm leaving tomorrow and won't have access anymore). Anyway - would it be worth hooking up a 433mhz Celeron based system with a 10 gig hard drive and 192MB of RAM? Could it crunch out work units in a soon enough time to do any good?

On a side note - I'm currently running my laptop (Athlon XP based) at 100% for F@H (just started) - 2.2ghz and 512MB RAM, and will be doing the same with my tower at school (a 2.3ghz Athlon with 1GB RAM), as well as my 3 roommates' computers tomorrow or the next day. Hopefully it'll help out.

Oh, and as another side note - I have never heard the fan on this laptop go so high or for so long in the the 5 months I've had it. :D

I've got a 400 and a 450 folding away. Yea, light it up. Alot of folks will tell you to run timeless WU's, is the box is on 24/7 don't worry about it.

Notebook- Try blowing some canned air in the heat sinks/cooling fan. Every now and again I take mine apart since a ton of lint gets caught up in there.

Oh, the fan thing is normal...it is after all kicking out the heat of an Athlon running at 2.2ghz (shouldn't be clogged with dirt or lint yet...for most of its existence, it has been either in a bag, or running at 500mhz silently in class.

As for the Celeron...it is up 24/7...and I'll set it up tomorrow before I go back to school.

Edit: Now that I think about it...I'm going to be seeing my girlfriend tomorrow too...might have to get her computer, as well as her roommate's computer (and laptop as well if possible) folding too.

The best is b0rging ex-girl friends computers.... :D

What luck, you got the evil folder here...me

I've got my PII 400@500 going through a tinker its at 73/100 after 34 hours of running.

My router, which is a Celeron 466 w/128mb, has been folding for a while. Have it set to timeless tinkers and it spits them out in about 4 days. Yours should run just fine.

I'd borg my ex's machine, but I set the thing up, and I'd have to fix it when she'd try to "fix" it to get folding off. It's not worth the hassle. Not gettin the booty? Then I'm not on duty!
