just built my new system, vid card is 1900xtx (Ati model)
when i go into the catalyst control center and look at the overclocking tab it says the current vpu clock is 500mhz and the current memory clock is 594 mhz
on newegg it says the core clock is 650mhz and the memory clock is 1550mhz
do i need to overclock my card to get to these speeds or is the control center just fubared

That is the 2d clock and switches to 650/1550 in 3d mode. All cards are this way now.

the X1900xtx has 2d and 3d clock speed settings. When you are not in a 3d game, the card throttles back to the speeds you are talking about....but once you go into a 3d application, the card ramps up the speed.

F.E.A.R muliplayer on max res and max settings rocks

its funny thou, FEAR and Prey run full without a single hitch, but WoW on full still drops to 50fps at some points

i blame blizzard
