This has been posted like 3 times now and that article is pretty ridiculous a larger color gamut will not make LCDs compete with OLED. The poor viewing angles, uniformity and low contrast will remain. Anything added to LCDs is a band-aid on a worn out technology. What this will basically do is bring LED backlit LCDs up to CCFL standards or better.
