Quake 4 Online

i had to play by myself cause every time i looked there wasnt a soul there. :(

After the 1.3 patch, it feels a lot better compared to the older. It still has some tweaking to be done, but I think it's going to turn out just fine. :) You can always find someone playing. (Pick up RA4 and Q4Max and you'll be good to go)

I played online when it first came out, alot of fun. Although you should just wait for Quake Wars, IMHO.

ET:Quake Wars and Quake 4 are two different gameplay types. Quake Wars is more like BF2. UT2K7 would be a better suggestion. :)

I picked up my collectors edition copy for about $12, I wouldnt spend more than about $20 on it, but I do enjoy the multiplayer. Instagib freezetag is fun, although 1.3 patch has messed that up for a little it seems

If you are still wondering whether to buy Quake 4 or not for online gaming, I would like to advise you not to buy it. Why? Because there are virtually nobody playing online it anymore. I think it's a shame because it is technically about the best-working multiplayer game I've played. Quake 4 is good, but it does require very much skill to be enjoyed. New patches and gamemodes did not increase its popularity.
