How well will Quake 4 run on a 9800Pro@XT 256mb? What resolutions can I expect with no AA or AF. I'm hoping that I can run at 1024x768, the highest I can run is 1280x1024 because my LCD doesn't support any higher. I was able to run BF2 and Doom 3 at 1024x768 with any problems at all.

Here's the rest of the system specs...

P4C 2.4@3.4
Abit IC7-g
1gb ram
SATA Raid 0

1024 x 768 isnt asking for much with a 9800 Pro. thats still a nice video card all things being considered.

Shibby, good to see that this card can still hold its own. I don't want to upgrade anything else on this system. This is supposed to be the system to hold me over for a few years.

^ yeah, you'll be fine.

I have a buddy of mine who's still using a 9700 Pro and he's able to play BF2 @ 1024 x 768 all day long. now mind you, he does have 2GBs of memory in his system which I'm sure is helping him out alot but still.

I actually just upgraded from a 9800PRO overclocked at XT speeds. It ran Quake 4 at 1024x768 at full quality. Granted I remember it choking a few times, but most of the time it ran great, just don't enable any FSAA =)

The sweetspot for a 9800XT in Doom3, according to [H]ard, is 1024x768 @high details with no AA and the automatic 8xAF; the avg framerates under these settings are usually in the 50's.

I would suspect that it would be quite similar in Quake4.
