Quadro cards work for Physx?

I have a Quadro FX 570 doing nothing, can it be used as an option for physx?

Ill have a pair of gtx 285's coming shortly figured i could reuse this, just not sure how your go about installing drivers for a quadro and the 285's

i think its the 8400 or 8600 equivalent?
 
The Quadro FX 570 is based on the G84GL core, so it will be capable of PhysX support. It probably won't be the fastest PhysX card. With a pair of GTX 285s you'd probably need something like a 9800 GTX+ or GTX 260 to keep up.

So in short, it should work, but probably won't be worth the trouble :)
 
I thought as long as it could roughly keep pace with whatever the discrete card did, it was an advantage

eh, I'd try it, you never know, could at least use it for more monitors, otherwise, ebay the sucker for a few hundred bucks and so on
 
lol maybe ill throw it on the ft/t section see if i cant trade for a 9800 or something lol
 
no go, wont show up as an option for dedicate ppu with a pair of 285 sli'd
 
probably cant use quadro based cards for a ppu, its the same hardware as an 8600gs and such but probably like you said just not in the drivers
 
You could try to use RivaTuner and do a reverse soft mod.

I am betting it is because The drivers see it as a Quadro and not a GeForce.
