I'm running stock cooling and the CPU is idle at 63 and Load at 78 with a 9x/1104 Overclock... Now I'm new to the OC'ing seen but this doesnt seem good? I heard Quads run hot but this hot? What am I doing wrong :( I know its stock cooling

I run @3.2 with a qx6700 and a tuniq tower, my temps are mid-40's idle to high 50's under normal usage load, 70's if I'm torturing it with something like prime95.

I'm running a QX6700 OC'ed to 3.33 (1333FSB) temps are 45C under load with a CM Mars HSF. with the stock cooler it was @ 68C under load. CM Stacker case. I'd switch to an after market cooler, the stock one just dosn't cut it for OCing a Quad core

45C under load? Are you sure about that? Try running two instances of Orthos. At 3.33GHz, you should be in the 60's.

I have 4 instances of F@H running, as well as a DivX encode while reading that temp. I can run 2 instances of Orthos if you want and give you that temp
