ok heres the deal, i have 2 monitors at my workdesk attatched to a SFF Dell via X1300Pro slim card. What do i have to do to add 2 more monitors(no clone all separate)

Another video card. If you have another PCI Express slot, get a PCI Express card, if not, you will have to settle for a PCI based video card.

Yup, could use ATI/NVIDIA because if you use more than 2 monitors, windows will handle that. Alternatively you could even use a PCI card.

However within Vista (if you ever plan to switch) they won't work unless they are same brands.

Correction, they will work if you mix brands. Just that, you will not get Aero Glass eye candy, you just get Aero basic.

interesting question, what about drivers for both cards?

i dont see how you can have 2 different sets of drivers for 2 cards for the same display?

hmmm.....
