I looking into a psu that could handle a Q6600 oc to 3ghz with a 8800 GTS 320mb (But possibility to change for GTX) with 2 Hard drive, Nine Hundred case ( 4 fan 120mm, 1 fan 200mm) is 600w(withou gtx possibility) will be enought or 700w is needed. What brand should i choose and near 100$ range. At the moment i have a 500w Ultra modular psu. I just ordered the q6600 but i need to change the psu i think because my psu doesn't have the 8 pin cpu. Thanks for any help.

aaaaand the problem is? its not like you have a 3-legged horse which needs to run on the derby. i run my [sig] cpu @ 3.2GHz with a [sig] psu. problems? none.

Your current PSU wont cut it. Look at an H620 or go higher.

Generally, plugging in a 4-pin CPU power plug from the PSU into an 8-pin socket does not cause any problems. You can only plug it in a certain way unless you force it to go wrong.
