I downloaded the trial version of QSoft Ramdisk enterprise 64-bit for Win7 and would like to allocate 8GB of my total 16GB RAM. I read the tutorial about configuration options but I must admit it's over my head. Any help would be appreciated!

Options I understand: drive letter (R:), Disk Size (8GB), File System (NTFS)

I don't know how to configure:

- Use Resident Memory...Allowed (default 1024MB)....Reserved (default 32MB)...change to?
- Use System Memory (currently checked)...under "Allowed" slider shows default of 3360MB

- Volume ID - default is abcd5678 (can I change this to anything?)
- Volume Name: RAMDisk (guess I should stick with this?

Any help greatly appreciated!

There has to be something on youtube. I'm going to buy this software soon and make a 8GB RAM DISK. Will do some testing with encoding movies sorced from RamDisk and destination to the SSD to see if I can beat the 3 to 4 hours it takes now with my system. I'm upgrading to Ivy Bridge too so I hope to see some drastic improvements with the transcoding.
