Where do you guys put your temp sensors in your QPacks?

my HDD one is in the case as a case temp sensor. but im wondering if my CPU temp is accurate. i have it in between the heatsink and the plastic bracket that holds the heatsink... should the sensor be under the motherboard so it's closer to the core?

anyone have a pic?
 
I don't have the qpack, but when I mount the CPU temp sensor, its recommended to use the thermal tape and tape it to the side of the base of the heatsink. Don't tape it to the bottom inbetween the processor though, lol, you'll overheat and possibly damage it. Just tape it to the side of the heatsink or something. If you don't have any of that orange/brown thermal tape, I find that the clear scotch tape works best. Don't use that opaque whitish "Magic Tape" scotch tape because it dries out and falls off from the heat. Make sure to get the "Crystal Clear" tape. If you have a hard time finding it, heres a pic. Just look for the red packaging in the store.

I have the CPU one wedged between fins at the bottom of my Zalman heatsink, and the "HDD" one wedged along the heatsink on my GPU, where it meets the core.

Seem fairly good.

I put a Panaflo 120mm/25mm thick in place of the stock fan, it's loud. I'm thinking I may put the stock one back or at least look at a rheostat to dial it down a bit.

The only thing louder on my desk are the 160GB Maxtors (5400RPM, 2MB cache) in my media PC. :(
