So who has replaced their 120mm fan in their qpack. What are you all replacing it with? I was thinking a panaflo.
 
Replaced mine with a Thermaltake 12cm blue LED fan putting out 97cfm. :D

I was gonna do the same but it pushes less cfm........looking into a panaflo medium speed. 8x.xx cfm
 
I popped in an inexpensive LED Coolermaster fan, pretty quiet considering it cost me only $5.

I also reversed the fan flow direction (to suck air in) and I noticed that the temperature in my two SATA drive area is a lot cooler than before (and general case temps are slightly lower).

Nexus silent 120mm, 1,000 rpm fan

Have it hooked up to my Fanbus. Not really necessary since 1,000 rpm is pretty damn quiet.

They also have a black/white version if you're not fond of burn out my eyes orange.

Im using a Yate loon 120mm with another in my PSU aswell. Basically inaudible minus the drive seeking (seems to resonate thruout the whole case..)
 
Same here. I have the Orange YateLoon (makers of the Nexus fan) in as a system fan. I also replaced the fans in my Tagan PSU with Nexus fans. Full load and I can't hear anything but my Maxtor HDD. I am thinking of dumping that in favor of another Hitachi since I can't hear the Hitachi at all.

I don't think I have ever heard the Hitachi make noise that wasn't normal. It is much more quiet than my Maxtor that is for sure.
 
I have the Coolermaster 120mm blue LED Fan. Although it is really quiet its LEDs face straightinto the case, Problem with that is my case is near Eye level and they shine straight out the window and towards me, its rather anoying. I am thinking of replacing it with a Thermaltake 120mm Smart fan 2 with Blue LEDs, that way I can adjust the speed of the fan as I wish and still keep the blue Leds runnning at full brightness plus there aimed at the center f the fan instead of thru it so they wont bother me the way this coolermaster does.
 
just put a few pieces of tape over the led's? unless they're on the fan blades themselves.

Spin the fan around and test it out.... Im getting better temps in my case with a coolermaster facing the other way & drawing air in vs. out. Its better for me also as it cools my 2 sata drives directly.
 
I've swapped mine for an Antec 120mm Blue LED fan (56CFM) and its a lot quieter and only about 2c warmer than with the aspire fan...

Now my Maxtor (must replace this!) is the noisest thing!

thats actually a good idea and kinda makes sense air flow wise, at least the airflow inside the case, I am worried about it sucking in the hot air in back of the case.

I did this when i first built it. I also made a air duck out of some metal laying around. This forces the cool air on my CPU heatsink.I also put a fan on the top of the case to pull air out from the top. All this with my ati silencer lowered my temps. cpu and gpu run at 38 idle (my dorms have the heat turned on and it is so hot in here) with load they run 51-52 cpu and 55-60 gpu.
