Anyone knows if the price on this CPU is also coming down or not? If not, I guess I may just jump on the Q9550 if I can't wait for Nehalem. Can a G945 chipset mobo work with the Q series CPUs?
 
I wouldn't bother with Quad-Core unless you have specific applications that need 4 cores. Wait for beyond Nehalem for Quad-Core.

I see your one system is pretty well balanced but you have way overkill cpu wise (q6600) and way under kill GPU wise (8800GTS 320).
 
Actually, the Spec you saw on my Profile was old. Now it's up to date. I sold the two fast CPUs along with the Premium and replaced them with low performance CPUs and cheap board to wait for Nehalem. I may just wait it out and get a Centrino 2 laptop to play with until Nehalem shows up.

The Q9650 (3.0 GHz) is now officially out, w/a price of $559.99 at Newgg.com.

The Q9550 (2.83 GHz) is now $339.99, again at Newegg.com.

For $220 more, I don't think it's worth the 117Mhz increase.
