Q9550 -- Overclocked temp question

I just picked up a Q9550. I have it at a stable 3.6ghz @ 1.24V. Ambient temperature is 75F. I have a HAF 932 with the stock fans, and 2 ATI 4850's. One with a single slot cooler, and one above it with a dual slot exhaust type cooler. The CPU has a Xigmatek S1283 with the stock fan and is mounted with a retention bracket, instead of pushpins. I am using MX-2 thermal paste. The fan is oriented to push air through the heatsink up towards the top exhaust fan. I have a ceiling fan in my room recirculating air.

Idle ( with speedstep ) is 37C on the hottest core, 34C on the coolest.
Extended load via OCCT/Prime, etc is 57C on the hottest core, 54C on the coolest.

I am leery of going much higher on my OC because of these temps. The idle seems fine to me, but the load seems high. Thoughts?
 
57C seems HIGH to you? Your CPU can take temps up to and beyond 100C. My Q9550 is running at over 70C right now. Don't worry about cranking up your OC; the chip can take whatever you can throw at it and more.

It seems high to me for that amount of voltage and that overclock. I know perfectly well it can take more voltage, and go further temp wise without issue. But, the temperature seems high for me for my cooling situation.

My question was not whether or not the temperature was going to cause damage to my chip, but whether or not my temperatures were appropriate for my current voltages and cooling set-up.
 
I don't think those temperatures are high at all for your situation.
 
Mine is currently sitting at 56-53-48-48 @3.8ghz, vcore of 1.216 under load, bios vcore of 1.21875, a lot will depend on your ambient temps and case airflow cooling etc, but tbh those temps your getting are very good, now push it a bit higher:D:)

Moot point anyway. Looks like my mobo might be limited. 447 FSB causes it to endless try and boot, I get a bleep and the bios screen comes up, then it reboots. Bummer.
 
Those temps are good silver, i had my temps up in the low 70s on my 9550 until i got a megahalem now thats about where the temps are now, sometimes i touch 60 under load, vcore of 1.32 @4.0
