Oh, probably in a month, then it'll go out of stock for 2 months.

Forget Newegg when it comes to these 45nm processors, for whatever reason Intel still isn't shipping these things in any quantity. You are going to probably have to go with some smaller dealers, and pay a slight price premium.

That's what I'll probably have to do as I am ordering in about 2 weeks.
 
That is unfortunate. I guess I will try shopblt then. I have been waiting since November to build a new rig and the last part was the 9800 gtx, but since these processors are so difficult to find I may be waiting longer. The backorders on these processors at BLT is tremendous.
 
Yeah I don't know what is up. I've heard that Intel at first was not using all its 45nm fab capacity, but then it got its other facilities online from what I understand, yet, only 4 or 5 of the 45nm parts have made it into the wild, and even those are extremely hard to come by.
 
Tankguys got some in 45nm chips in today. Among them is Q9450 OEM/tray. If you're going to overclock and don't care about the retail warranty, I think this is a good bet. It's the only place online right now that I can see which has them in stock. I ordered one this afternoon and have a tracking number already.

What I find funny is that I have yet to see a review of these processors which means that they have not been officially launched. I wonder when the launch is. Intel is sure taking their sweet time with these desktop Penryns.

Oooo... The moogr.com one is a retail box. Grab that one if you want 3 yr vs 1 yr warranty and don't plan on overclocking. Interesting that their webpage says 1 yr warranty on it. I know Intel retail box chips come with 3 yrs through Intel.

i ordered that one from moogr lol, says there were only 2 in stock, so ill keep my place in line at shopblt until confirmation

plus there was a 10% off deal going on so only 330 overall, saves a couple bucks?
