Q9450 High/Low temps

Ok, so I finally got my Q9450 and I'm confounded as to my temperatures at idle/stock (6x333)

29 43 29 45

I used the horizontal line method with my AS5. Did intel change the orientation of the dies under the IHS with the 45nm generation? I'm confounded as to why they would go low/high/low/high.
 
Remount it and see if the temps change any for you. Sounds like a bad mount. If it is a hard mount you tightened 1 side way more than the other
 
Hmmm. I remounted it and have the same problem. The Ninja is a clip on so that might be it, but I didnt have this odd problem with my E6400.

I'm inclined to think that its my P965 motherboard. I guess I will have to get a P45 mobo when they come out in a month or two.

On the plus side, my load temps are 50 55 45 45. Though the last temp is the same as my idle temp, so I think the sensor is stuck.
 
I got my Q9450 up and running over the weekend and I'm having the same issue also. My Q6600 was fine, but this one is different. Actually I get 2 different things that are interesting. at Idle they are like 35,35,29,35 but when I 100% load them they jump to like 52,52,45,45 exactly like that 2 high same numbers and 2 low same numbers. Yet my chipset is also in the same watercooling loop and goes up to 35 full load (compared to 60 on air). Makes me wonder...
