Q9450- CPU core temp disparity

I just built a comp with a q9450 on a gigabyte x48-dq6 with a Big typhoon HS
Using CoreTemp and RealTemp, one of my core's temps is significantly higher than the other cores' temps. I suspect a sensor is stuck cos the temp doesnt change for the 4th core on load using Prime95 for 4 hrs.

Using RealTemp on idle i get:
Core #0: 28C, core #1: 28C, core #2: 52C (the one that is stuck), core #3: 37C

Is this normal??

Maybe i havent seated my HS correctly.

Try the Realtemp sensor test to see if it's actually stuck, then try re-seating the heatsink.

I also have about 9 degrees difference in one core.. although its not stuck

RealTemp says its stuck.
I have reseated it and I am getting the same results.

Ignore the idle temps and test load. Then give us the delta. 5-10C temperature variations are actually very commonplace with Intel quads due to their dual-die design. However, load temps are necessary in order to accurately judge how your temps are.
