Q9450 and what Temp Program to use

Does anyone know what temp program to use to monitor the chips temps? I use the latest Coretemp and I don't think it's giving me the right temps. They dont' sound right as one core is 40 at idle and the rest is just sitting there at 53 C. Is this right or not? Look at my sig for my setup.
