Q6600 vs X6800

X6800? as in the old extreme chip? Its a B3 so it will run hotter. Its and extreme chip so its VERY pricy. the only real advantage is an unlocked multi.
Q6600 is the best bang for your buck right now basically.

Also, if anything, you should really be comparing the E6750 or E6850 against the Q6600. Both of the Es will get up to about 4ghz. The latest G0 will get around 3.6-3.7 on the Q6600.

3.6-3.7 is really pushing it. don't get me wrong it can be done, i did it for a while. But to tell people that it will hit that speed is a little misleading. i would say closer to 3.2-3.4 as a reasonable overclock for a quad. Anything more than that you are getting real lucky.
