I don't know what happened, but now my proc is running hot. Where it used to idle around 28-30c it now idles around 35-40c. Running it at 3Ghz 333x9 w/ 1.21v (1.265 in bios) which is undervolted from the 1.275 VID. I've remounted the damn cooler about 5 times, switching between AS5 and MX-2, neither help. Now the damn thing loads into the 60's, where as before it wouldn't even break 50c. Both proc and heatsink are lapped. Even taking it back to stock 2.4 my temps are still in the mid 30's. Should not be happening with my cooler. And, yes, the fan is spinning

Wonder if my cooler went bad? Never heard of that happening before though. Maybe the proc is starting to flake out?
 
Is your Vcore set to Auto or manual? The only thing I can think of is probably there was an increase in Vcore to the processor.
 
Nope, manually set to 1.265 in bios. Got about .05v in vdroop at idle which read 1.21v in CPUz. vdroop goes up to about .1v at load. Hovers around 1.168v at load.

I think I figured it out though. Ambients in here were pretty high. Guess I didn't notice. Cracked open a window and now temps are idling around 28c. Load at 50c. I can live with that. Closing the heating vent in my office as well. :)
