Core for core vs a C2D how much faster (rough guestimation) is a quad core? Currently dual core is clocked at 2.4 and I noticed the quads OC like crazy to pretty high #'s. Is the quad core essentially 2 C2D?

really shouldn't bother but yes, the intel quads are 2 C2Ds stuck on a single package.
