System specs:

ASUS P5K Deluxe
Q6600 G0 @ 3.2 GHz (8x400)
2 GB Corsair XMS2 DDR2-800 at 4-4-4-12

At idle, the Vcore is 1.200v according to CPUZ.
When loaded in Prime95, Vcore drops to 1.168v.

Is there a reason why the cpu is using more volts when idling? I'm worried that it's driving up my idle temps when the extra volts aren't needed.

I have C1E disabled.
Is there a bios option for this, or is this how the cpu is supposed to behave?

It's called VDroop, and probably not much you can do about it (though I don't know that particular mobo). It's fine...

CPUZ doesnt report the correct voltage either i dont think. As long as its stable under load, your fine.
