My IHS is spooned in pretty good. I'm getting bad temps because of it. 1.49c 2.48c 3.43c 4.44c @ 2.6ghz below stock volts and with 15% load. I cant remove the IHS for the stock heat sink because it takes a lot of pressure to get it locked right. Should I remove the IHS or is there something else I can do to fix this and if I do remove the IHS whats a good heat sink/mounting system that wouldn't apply extreme amount of pressure to the cpus.
 
What does HIS stand for? Do you mean IHS? If its really that bad, you can be a scoundrel and RMA under false pretenses, or you can lap it, and get better temps than a stock IHS G0 probably.
 
oops, yes I meant IHS. I have pretty bad dyslexia. I think I would lap right through the IHS because its pretty bad lol. Is there anything special to lapping the IHS is it just like a heatsink?
