Well I finaly manage to stabilize my Q6600 at 4005 MHz with water cooling,
my idle temperture are abount 39 - 42 and load around 52 - 55, Im just curious if 55 is too hot and could damage my computer ?? I dont know much about tempertures...
And is it dangerous to overvolt ? my VCORE is at 1.7....1.6 was not stable but when I run with 1.7 I keep getting a overvolt message in startup and 3 stroke sound...

Nice OC. AFAIK, and I don't know tons about OC'ing, but those temps look okay but the vcore seems really high. I'd be worried about the higher vcore than the temps.

get coretemp and go into settings and select temp to Tjunction. That will tell you how much temp wise you have left before Zpfft... and waving good by to yoru proc. I ty to keep that at least 30c buffer that allows for your daily temp flux's

1.6 is considered teh max stable 24/7, Infact I try to never hit over 1.5v. and at 3.6ghz you can run 1:1 with 800mhz DDR2 memory so you might wanna consider that.

Depending on your chip, you're running half a volt over stock. You're really playing with fire.

If you have the money to throw at a new CPU in a short amount of time, keep doing what you're doing, but I'll be shocked if that CPU lasts a year.

well I will be changing motherboard and chip soon..
All I was woundering was if my temperture were ok
lol thank you

Try dropping your vcore a couple of notches and increasing the NB voltage just a tad.
