10-Bit Simultaneous Display The monitor can display 10-bit color from a 16-bit look-up table via its DisplayPort and DVI-D inputs* . This is more than 1 billion colors shown simultaneously which is 64 times greater than the 16.7 million colors of 8-bit display.
"*A graphics board and software which support 10-bit output are also necessary for 10-bit display."

i think that my dell u2410 supports 10-bit! (does it?)

what software support 10-bit pictures? and is jpeg format capable of supporting 10-bit pics?

does a geforce gtx 470 card support 10-bit?

does anyone know a site where i can see 10-bit pics?

It should be able to accept 10bit signals via DisplayPort. The panel is (as in most cases even if the manufacturer talks about implementing a 10bit panel) a 8bit version with internal FRC. Using FRC is not new (and was never restricted to displays with 6bit TN panel) as you want to avoid a loss of tonal values in a 8bit workflow too - but the position in the panel itself is a quite recent trend. So you can try to feed a 10bit signal but I think that you will only have success with Quadro or FireGL cards.

Best regards

Denis
