I asked this in the big thread but everyones questions seems to be getting lost so sorry for another thread but I had to ask them before blowing a grand. I plan on upgrading from my 22" 2070 Mitsubishi to this if I like the answers.

1-I like to game at 1600x1024 or 1600x1200 which I am very use to. Will either of those resolutions fit the screen completely or will I have to live with black bars on the sides? I doubt I can game at the monitors default and have it play well.

2- Also can I hook up my XBox or PS2 directly to it without anything special and play in Hi-Def?

3-Can this thing be used as a TV and does anyone recommend it for that? I surely do need a new TV.

Thanks all.

1) it will fill the screen up (with side bars) if u scale it, if not it will be a box inside the screen

2)u need component cables

3)if it is not widescreen then the 4:3 area is similar to the size of a 20' tv...i dunno the quality of HD cuz i dont have it

Thanks bench261 but when you say it will fill the screen up (with side bars) will it look normal? Are will everything look stretched?

dont mention it...it does a good job of scaling it..it looks good. i was playin cod scaled and it was too big so i set it at 1:1 and i almost forgot i had it at that setting..but for graphics quality im not one to ask cuz im not picky..specially since i have a 9500 pro. one reason it looks decent scaled is because at 1:1 its not that much smaller than it is scaled

I'd disagree with 3). There was a pic of 2405 alongside with 2001 and 2405 was taller than 2001 by an inch or 2. I'd say in 4:3 it'd be about 21-22", dunno for sure (didn't get it yet) :D

yeah i would say 21...i said similar...i just measured it and the 2405 has 3/4'-1' height advantage

i guess the large cabinet makes a 20' tv look bigger
