Hi guys,

I'm looking at getting a 32" LCD TV and was wondering what is considered the better option for a panel - a PVA (Samsung) or IPS (LG-Phlips)? Basically the scenario here in South Africa is pretty bleak. We get ripped off huge for the brand names - a new Samsung 40" (SPVA) will cost $4000. We do have a few companies that bring in panels and controllers themselves and sell TV's for much less - basically what you guys in the US pay for the brand names :p

I can either get the PVA or IPS panel. The controller is Pixelworks I'm told. Thoughts?

Much appreciated

IPS for better viewing angles (it's a TV after all) and no lag (although the PVA might not have lag, depends whether it has overdrive). Although it's hard to say because you have to see the LCDs.
