I putting together a computer for a buddy and he wants one that will stay up to par for atleast a couple of years. I know he wants to sli, so what would be the best cost to performance ration power supply capable of running atleast 2 8800's? Thanks!

Hmm.. exactly how many hd's, dvd roms, lighting accesories, fans will he be using? If it's just the basic 1 hd, 1 dvd rom/burner, and a couple 120mm fans for cooling, to go along with his 8800's (guessing if it's sli 8800gt's) then a good brand 600w psu shouldn't be a problem.

BTW, you seemed to have triple posted this thread. One should be sufficient enough buddy, as I believe it's against one of the rules.

A Corsair 620HX should be enough for now, but it is hard to tell what kind of power his next machine will need.

how about 2 500gb harddrives, 2 8800's sli, 2 dvd burners, 3 120mm and a water cooling pump?
