Putting music on a 360...

ok, so i'd like to put some of my MP3s on my 360 so i can blow shit up to AC/DC in ghost recon.

i tried putting a data CD full of MP3s into my 360, but i couldn't find an option to copy the files to my HD. am i just missing something completely obvious, or am i going to have to burn and rip dozens of CDs? i hope not because the process is disgustingly slow, and i don't want to lose sound quality recompressing something that's already been compressed.

also, anybody know if you can stream media from a computer running x64?

You cannot put your music on the HDD

You want to stream it from your computer into the 360, which is much better for storage

Sure, you can stream from x64. I've got it set up on my machine. You just can't use the install package - you have to extract it, manually copy files, register the service library, and run the configuration utility yourself.

edit: i spoke too soon. it says that i need wmccds.exe, wmcsci.dll, and wmccfg.exe, but none of those files were in the setup for SP2 or MCE. any suggestions?

edit: ok so its not so self explanitory. follow the link I gave to download "wmcsetup.exe" from MS, then use winzip (or simmilar program) to extract the install files from that auto-extracting package. The files you want are part of that package.
