How have your results been with trying the push/pull mechanism with the scythe ninja. Im thinking about getting the ninja and I was wondering if i should get 2 fans instead of one.

Also, as5 is a must? What about ceramique?

hey jcll.. despite my initial decision to go with the Freezer 64 Pro, i found an unbeatable price for the Ninja on jab-tech and couldn't resist, so i bought it from them, and added a thing of AS5 and a Yate Loon 120mm for a total of 43.95 before s/h. that's a SLAMMIN price. if you haven't bought yet, check 'em out... (also, i ordered last night at about 8pm, and they've already shipped my order out!!)

I have two fans on mine, the second one is rubber isolated from the sink, and is held with zip-ties. I have a Nexus pushing air from below, and an Antec Tri-Cool (on low) on top directing the heated air at the upper blowhole of a P180 case.

In this configuration very little heated air goes over the terminal heatink of my A8N32-SLI's heatpipe, knocking off about 4C from the mobo temp (5C more came from putting AS5 on the heatpipe).

Also having the fans pointing up keeps the RAM on my board from being covered by the Ninja's fan, keeping it cooler.

The only downside is that some of the videocard's heat gets pulled into the Ninja, but having an exhaust-type cooler on the video card helps to mitigate that heat.
