Purple LED?

I'm working on a build for my wife in purple and blue. I'm replacing stock LEDs with blue except for the hard drive activity which I would like to do in purple...only problem is I can't seem to FIND purple LEDs...would a UV led work as they seem kinda purple or should I keep looking?

Also since I have your attention on the topic of LEDs MY computer build is in red and black and I'm dropping red LEDs into everything except the drive activity light but I'm having a hard time deciding what color to put there...blue would be an obvious choice except it'd be the only blue in the whole rig. I'm thinking maybe green...yeah I know...old school huh :D

Pictures here to help you know what I'm talking about for the scheme...

Drat...I need 3mm :( and I wish some more sites carried these cause I'm already ordering from 4 different places, and the shipping for a single lousy LED is going to be ridiculous if I order from another place...

Currently I'm placing orders at Newegg, Performance-PCs, FrozenCPU, and Directron

I've never dealt with Directron before but they carry Dynamat and they have a four pack of replacement joysticks for my PSP that I've been meaning to order...we'll see how it goes.

Has anybody used the NoisePax that PerformancePC carries? Is it as good as dynamat or should I just get the real thing...

LSDiodes.com

You can find ANY LED you'd ever need there. (including 3mm uv/purple ones) Great prices, fair shipping.

The THC3 diodes are retardedly bright for 5mm diodes as well.

there's two auctions up on eBay right now, each for a 10pk of 3mm purple/violet LEDs. looks like you could get either set home for under 7 bucks... doesn't seem too bad.
