Does anyone know of a place that sells logic boards for HD's? I have a bad maxtor drive, and I'm 110% positive it's just the logic board that's bad. Maxtor isn't very helpful over the phone, and I don't want to send it to a data recovery place ($300+).

Any ideas?

eBay.

It's not like Maxtor sells the controller/logic boards to end users, because this is a pretty risky undertaking, not to mention the low volume of boards that would be demanded.

Have you tried Ebay?
Ask the guys over at storagereview.com, also. They generally have some good sources.
