I’m taking the plunge into watercooling soon. I researched all this stuff to death three years ago, but finances didn’t come together then to make it a reality. Coming back to it now, I realize my knowledge is about as current as the bronze age.

I'm on the fence about pumps it's down to either the new Laing DDC 3.25 with XSPC top OR the Danger Den CPX-Pro. I’m looking for the one with better performance in a 1/2" tube system with twin loops (CPU/mobo and GPUs), each running through XSPC 480 radiators. I don’t know for sure what water blocks I’ll pick yet, but certainly something with restrictions on the low side. I’m thinking the Watercool Heatkiller for the CPU, and possibly Danger-Den blocks for the GPU (just one at the moment, but maybe two later). God knows what for the board. I definitely want to cool the mosfets AND the chipset, though.

So, are DD CPX-Pros the way to go, or should I shell out the extra coin for the Laing DDC 3.25s with new tops? They both look good, but which is going to be better for this setup? ). I’m kind of leaning towards the DD pump, as it seems to use less power, thus putting less heat into the loop, and is quieter. It’s also cheaper – quite a bit so, when you figure in the DDC’s new top. BUT . . .I would like some more experienced input first . . .

Thanks in advance,

The DDC 3.25 with aftermarket top will preform better then then CPX-Pro
If the DDC is in stock form the CPX-pro is better
but either would work good.
