Pump + Reservoir configuration.

I'm pricing out a water cooling system for a Virtualization Server + Desktop (in signature) into a single case.

I'm looking at using 2 pumps but noticed this when browsing Swiftech gear:

Wondering if anyone has had any experience with this item and its Performance. The reservoir seems a bit small while the pumps seem like they'd be pretty noisy in that configuration.

Would I be better served with a larger reservoir and running the MCP35x2 seperately?

Reservoir size does not matter. It all evens out anyways. The only things a larger reservoir does is take longer to reach equilibrium temperatures and longer time between refills.

In my experience, do not get any reservoir that feeds the pump from the bottom. I had a Koolance RP452x2 V2, and that thing was noisy as hell. Switched to a Alphacool Repack dual D5 reservoir, and it's near silent, even at the 5 setting.

The direct size doesn't necessarily matter, but due to the size of the system, I'd prefer to have additional water in the system to reduce having to top up the coolant terribly often. Another benefit of a larger reservoir is the ability to bleed the system quicker when the reservoir is not at the top of the loop(s).

If the water hits the reservoir, it tends to allow bubbles clear out given sufficient size for a particular flow rate.

Thanks for the feedback on the pump location compared to the reservoir though. I will definitely keep that in mind.
