I am definitely going with an Eheim pump but cannot decide if the extra power of a 1260 is worth it over the 1250 pump. Can anyone offer suggestions for me on this?
What I am cooling right now is just my A64 3500. The loop consists of a Black Ice Extreme rad, and the new Danger Den polyethelene res.
TIA

Data man...I need data. :)
I'll look at those two (which appear to be one and the same pump at first glance)...but I need more hard facts. I would love to use a pump that I can hook up to molex power! :D

Well, both danger den and swiftech have PQ curves posted for their pumps, and PQ curves for eheims aren't too tough to find. Check phaestus' PQ's he posted on procooling.com forums. Im sure you'll find all the data you need.

Also, the MTBF of the Laing D4 (dd12v and mcp650) is much longer than any other 12V pumps. Not entirely positive how it compares to the eheims though.

Well I took the plunge and just ordered the DD pump. I guess you only live once, right? :p

My decision has gone from the Eheim 1262 (a monster) to the 1260, and finally to a 12v solution with the DD pump. We'll see what happens, huh? :D

Thanks for all the help.

Good choice. The DD and Swiftech pumps are both the same, I believe. Just resold by both companies.
I get mine soon.
Very powerful, small, and quiet. :D

yep, they are exactly the same pump, just rebranded. Im about to order the DD one as well, good choice :p

They look the same and are spec'd very similarly...given that they have the "industrial application" tag in the nomenclature I'm sure these things will be beasts in and of themselves...just quiet and smoothly operating beasts. :D

Now I just have to 'patiently' wait until the end of the week to get the damn thing! LOL
