Are any of the common pumps better suited then the others if I were using a fluid a little more viscus then water?

More viscous will mean you need higher pump head pressure. I think the standard recommendation would be a laing 3.2 or 3.25 (also called mcp355 or pmp-400).

Unless you're going to be pumping a heavy glycol mix, the "standard" Laing pumps are more than adequate. D5 (MCP655) is still a great pump, but the DDC3.25's (PMP-400) have the edge when it comes to dynamic pressure.

sorry to hijack.

Are there any real differences between the 3.2 and 3.25? If I were to buy a 3.25 I would have to buy directly from Laing (via jab-tech, as I don't do business with Koolance or DangerDen). I heard their RMA is a pain in the ass because I would have to ship it overseas. Whereas I could get a Swiftech 355 for 10 bucks less a pump and have in-country warranty service.

So it's either
Better performance (maybe???) from 2x 3.25s
or
16 wing wangs cheaper (2x 355s)

I really don't care about the price because I'm pretty much going to build it and then forget about it. I doubt I'll really upgrade every year or whatever. I'll probably just upgrade every 3 or 4 years when I upgrade the rest of the rig.

like i said, sorry bout the hijack

Thanks in advance
