Anyone ever try putting the pump on the opposite end of the loop (res -> rad -> blocks -> pump -> res) so there's essentially a negative pressure across the loop? I realize centrifugal pumps are terrible at pulling so your flow might be a little lower, maybe you'll need an extra pump, and priming the loop would be fun.

If you had a "leak" you'd be sucking in air rather than pushing out water (onto the thousands in electronics). That's an attractive feature.

Horrible idea. Always have the reservoir before the pump to keep it fed with water. Otherwise, if it gets air, you risk burning it out. The rest of the loop order does not matter as long as your flow rates are high enough.

Bad idea. Its always best to have a Res/Pump combo on top of one another so the pump is constantly being fed water. Water is a basic lubricant for the pump that prevents it from burning out.

Eh was just a thought. My loop is already setup with the normal res -> pump, always have the thought water leaking over the 4k in electronics in the back of my mind. If primed right I'm not sure I see much risk.

Most concerns I saw posted above were to ensure there is no air in the loop. I have extra pumps so that shouldn't be to hard to do. Just have to temporarily run one for a few minutes the "normal" way to purge air from the blocks.
