how much power do i need, and im looking to go cheap

Just remember when shopping for a power supply, wattage doesn't mean anything, so "how much" power isn't as important as the quality of the power supply. With that said, here's what I recommend:

Fortron 350: ($43.50 + $6.99 shipping)
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=17-104-970&depa=0

Vantec Ion 400W (54.50 + 6.99 shipping)
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=17-103-474&depa=0

I'm sure other people will post some more comments/opinions on "budget" PSU's :)

um neither of those psu's will do as he said dial video cards, aka sli.

I know you're not going to like this, but you're not going to be able to go cheap if you plan on SLI. Sorry. There are only a few psu's out there right now that will run it, and they are all well over $100. If you decide you're willing to spend a reasonable amount of money on the single most important part of your system, then we can help you. :)
