PSU

Probably, but I'm inclined to look elsewhere because Thermaltake has never been known to market high-quality supplies (or be honest... bastards), and their page for that PSU doesn't show the maximum combined output on the +12V rails. Passive PFC only, too.

If you have to buy from Newegg, may I suggest the Masscool PS-PSU460?
 
lol @ 454s last comment ;) what videocard are you planning on using? I'm with 454 on TT supplies.
 
I wouldn't call TT absolute crap, but simply, if that's all you can get, then it's better than a deer or a leadman, but there's better value for the money.

I wouldn't exactly call that bad, a bit worse than an antec since that one is a CWT, but it should meet most people's needs. Of course, at that price, you could have much better choices.

Round up of 14 power supplies, 13 of which are discontinued pre ATX12V models, because Oleg has an axe to grind against Thermaltake.

Do take note that of the 14 PSU's hand selected by our PSU guru that only one is still on Thermaltakes website.

As BBQ pointed out, this model is CWT just like it's Antec cousin. Unfortunately, that also means it has Fujjhyu caps. Although they're probably better ventilated like the Fuhjjhyus found in a Hiper or Sunbeamtech (because they're not using Antec's patented 2 RPM fans) which means they probably won't buldge and blow up in a year.

But there are better choices out there for the money.

The Mascool is a solid unit.... especially for the money. And funny enough is the only recommendation made in a thread of nine replies. ;)
