PSU with looong cables?

I am in need of a new PSU as my aging Antec NeoPower 480W might have trouble with the next videocard I'm getting (800GTX or R600).

One thing I liked about the NeoPower is that it had very nice and long cables, for example the PCI-E cable is 24" and the longest 4-pin molex cable is 32" long.

Now I'm looking around for a +- 700W PSU that can match that cable length, so I can keep the clean look in my LianLi v2000.

I checked out the OCZ GameXStream 700W and the FSP Epsilon 700W, but their PCI-X cables are only around 21.65", and the 4-pins are not longer than about 21".

Will I have to deal with these lengths, or are there any PSUs with longer cables in that range of watts/price?

Thanks!

Drop the FSP Epsilon and GXS series alltogether. Better choices.

Try the Etasis based Silverstones (model number ST xx ZF, the ST xx F's are enhance).

Thanks. The silverstones were nice, cables a little short though.

I found the PC Power & Cooling Silencer 750W, it looks very nice. Long cables

A little on the expensive side, but hey its PC P&C.

Try the Corsair HX series too. I remember Redbeard (corsair rep) saying how they were designed for the p180 styled cases, thus, rather long cables.

Ok thanks.

The PPC 610W also has long cables. Will 610W, or 620W in case of the Corsair be sufficient?

I dont plan on going SLI with these powerhungry GPUs, but I dont want to have to get a new PSU again if I do.

Thanks

If you have a Fry's around you, check the prices there. They've recently had the Silencer 750 for $159.99 or similar in their brick and mortar stores. :)

And yeah the 610 would work just fine for you assuming the cables are just as long as on the 750. FYI these are both custom built by Seasonic for PC Power & Cooling and share the same platform (or so I am told). You may have some worries if you decide to get the 610 and then want to SLI something like an 8800GTS/X later, and if you forsee yourself doing that then I would spring for the 750.
