I got my hands on a dual-socket LGA1366 board but this sucker has the standard 24pin ATX power connector + 2 (8pin) EPS connectors. I'm having a heck of a time finding a PSU that has 2x EPS connectors?

look at seasonic. And a lot of 800w+ PSUs (that aren't entry level) have dual 8 pin or 8 pin + 2x 4 pin.

Hey thanks. Was able to find a Y splitter for $8. Much easier than dropping $130+ on a PSU.

If the board is actually drawing a decent load on both connections, splitting is a bad idea. EPS is up around 300W or so, similar draw to 8-pin GPU.

None so far with CPU at 100% 24/7 crunching BOINC but I will keep an eye on it.

I have a 850w corsair modular psu with dual 8 pin I believe I could sell pretty cheap.

1) Just because it's working doesn't mean it's not a bad idea.

2) Get that shit off the antistatic bag. They're fucking conductive.

You gon blow shit up if you keep this shit up.

if you decide, I have a used Corsair TX850M 850w power supply. It is missing a couple modular cables, I think ones with sata chains, but as it is, it has 1x 24 pin connector, 2x 8 pin CPU connectors, 3x pcie 6+2 connectors, 4x sata connectors, and 4x molex connectors. Could do $60 shipped.
