Can somebody explain to me how to calculate which UPS should I take for 550W PSU?
I have UPS Mustek 600VA PowerMust, with my old PSU Chieftec 360W everything worked perfectly (power gone enough for 15-20min or more - never tried out more), but with new Chieftec 550W it's ok when power is on, but switching it out to battery in turn's off imidiatly. I took UPS to friend's pc and it started windows only on battery (AthlonXP 2400+, FX5200, 1 HDD..., lower power consumer), at my place not on battery. Have to say that PSU works fine directly to a wall plug. Interesting on WinPower app (comes with UPS) it shows that at my regular work on pc only 30-32% of UPS is loaded (pc and monitor working). You can see my rig in my signature. If you can help me, please do so, thanks in advance.

You don't base a UPS load on the wattage of your PSU as the PSU only provides what your system needs at any given time. In the UPS sticky there is a link to how to size your UPS based on load and desired runtime. Be sure to use UPS's with AVR that are at least line interactive.
