I have a ageing thermaltake 400w PSU. Its actually close to 7 or 8 years old and I think its time to bury it in the back yard.
Specs
Asus P5N32-E SLI Plus
Intel E6400 TRUE120 Extreme
4GB OCZ 6400 DDR
BFG 9600GT
Auzen X-Raider 7.1
Antec P180
I run 5 harddrives.
Antec P180 case
So Im looking to shop for an affordable PSU that will give me some flexibility in the future for upgrading my components. My only real hangup is the P180 case seats the PSU so far from the mobo connections. Im thinking modular may be the way to go to cut down on clutter.
My local shops carry most products, but everyone is pushing the OCZ supplies. They have nice features like being modular, but I hear people suggesting to stay away from OCZ like the plague.
So Im thinking a 500w or higher modular for under $100CDN
Suggestions?
