hi, starting a new build need suggestions for size and make of PSU, it will need to be modular.

cpu I7-960*
gtx hd 570 X2
120 g SSD*
1-2 TB 7200rpm Hd
12 gig ddr3
GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD3R ATX 1366*

The case is a Cooler Master CM Storm Sniper*

I looked up the PSU for the video card and it suggested a 550 min for 1.
I am thinking maybe 850-1k?

*=already purchased

750-850W. Do you need something fully modular or just partially modular? Take a look at the Seasonic X-750 and X-850, Corsair HX750, HX850, AX750, AX850, TX750M, and TX850M, Antec Truepower New 750W, Kingwin Lazer Gold 700W and 850W, NZXT HALE90 750W and 850W, and XFX PRO750 XXX Edition and PRO850 XXX Edition.

A good 700w plus powersupply.

I completely agree with this.

though a seasonic X650 would get the job done just fine as well.

antec True power new wouldnt be a bad option if you want to save some money

750 to 800 sounds about right to me as well - those two gtx 570s are going to consume around 500 watts during load, maybe more.

Take a look at the Seasonic x-760.. Great unit. A review here about it and also across the net.
