Just curious if anyone has read specs or have any ideas on what a decent PSU requirement would be for a 7970. I'm running a 2500k with a 470 GTX right now on a Silencer 750W. With the power draw of the 7970 being pretty high, would this be enough to run 1, perhaps even OC'ed, without power issues?

Yes. Power draw of the 7970 is actually really low, only pulling 400w on a full load

Oh wow, I'm actually somewhat surprised (and glad) to hear that. I just finished my new build and the only 2 things I kept were the PSU and the video card, did not feel like replacing the PSU if it wasn't necessary.

Pretty sure its only a little above the 6970 so take a look at those benchmarks and add 20 watts for full load, actually lower at idle

yea pretty much same power requirements as a 6970 i think peak load was only 10w more then a 6970 last i checked

That's 400W for the entire system, not just the card. The card itself is around 200-210W, same as the 6970.
