Have $100 usd to spend in a brand new power supply, something that last me at least 3 years and power nicely and 100% stable my current system which soon will be upgraded to A64+GF6+case fans.

Please gimme options, antec, fortron, x-connect...power supply gurus please lead me here :D

Best results are with the Tagan TG480-U01, it even runs a 6800 Ultra SLI configuration without problems, the others DO NOT. Also DO NOT think you can get away with any other PSU, as we've tried about 14 different ones and these are the only ones that work.

it's 80 bucks, has had great reviews, and will be able to handle future upgrades.

look at toms hardware. they were doing STRESS testing, which is defrag, file transfer, 3dmark 05 etc. for 5 days solid.
both tagan's failed.

get ocz (v. good, and quiet), pcp&c equally good but loud, or the old favoirite, can't go wrong, enermax. voodoopc uses there 600w noisetaker in their watercooled 6800 ultra system.

Specs look ok on the maddog but i cant reccomend something i dont have experiance with, and doing a quick google for reviews would lead me to beleive not many have experiances with that power supply.

http://www.ocztechnology.com/products/power_management/power_supplies

those are the OCZ power supplies, the powerstream is the better of the two however the removable cables of the modstream is pretty cool

the antec newpower 480 is also a great power supply

http://www.antec.com/us/productDetails.php?ProdID=24480

and no one will ever dispute how good a PP&C power supply is

anyway those three links give you pretty much the top rated power supplies out htere right now
