Here's the rig:

Opteron 170 @ Stock 2.0GHz
2x1GB OCZ Platinum DDR400 2-3-2-5
DFI Infinity NF4 SLI AMD
Seagate 160GB SATA HDD
Seagate 120GB IDE HDD
NEC ND-2500A IDE DVD+/-RW Drive
eVGA 9600GSO 384MB <-Hooked up with a 2x4Pin to 1x6pin PCIe Y adapter
PC Power & Cooling Silencer 470ATX <-I thought this had 26A on the 12V rail

I use this computer mostly for AutoCAD, Programming and the fairly often romp in GTAIV. I am adding 2 side monitors(2 Dell 2209WAs to accompany my Samsung LN40A500) so I need to add a second video card; which I have lying around, my old eVGA 7800GT CO 470/1100 card.

Any PSU recommendations? I've been considering the PCP&C S75QB Silencer 750W PSU because it is on sale on Newegg right now for $100 shipped, and I'd like to stay at about that.

Thanks for the help!

For under $100 the PC P&C 750W is hard to beat with up to +12V@60A@40C.:)

Today's 420W has +12V@30A, so your 470W must be a very old model.
PC P&C Silencer 420 ATX 420W
+5V @ 20A, +12V @ 30A, -12V @ 0.8A, +3.3V @ 20A, +5VSB @ 2.5A

I only knew you from over on EOCF(I'm TriumphGT6) but it's nice to get your advice.

Here's a link to their PDF spec sheet:

http://www.pcpower.com/downloads/specs_3824.pdf
+5V @ 32A
+12V @ 26A
-12V @ 0.8A
+3.3V @ 28A
+5VSB @ 2A
continuous power = 470W

It is quite old, but I've been happy with it and if quality hasn't suffered as a brand since, I'm fine owning another PCP&C product.

The Data Sheet.pdf is dated 2007, so the data sheet is not that old.

I love the PC P&C Silencer series, especially at their current pricing.

Glad to see you again!
Dave:)
