Putting together a build and was wondering if anyone had any good recommendations for a suitable PSU for the following case.

Corsair Obsidian Series 550D

I'll be using the following equipment.

Intel 3770k
Asrock Z77 Extreme6
EVGA GTX 680

I would love to go fanless if the price isn't too unreasonable as well as making full use of the routing available in the case. Budget is around 80-140

Your budget is sufficient for a high end fanless unit.

Kingwin Stryker(of the SuperFlower version if you're in Europe) > Seasonic X-460 ~ FSP Aurum Xilenser 500

Yes, I was hoping someone might know of a fanless unit that has long enough cables to route through the back panel of my case

Or you could save some money and get the Kingwin Lazer Platinum or Absolute Platinum(non modular) versions of the Stryker unit, they're equally impressive and they both offer fanless operation, the fan only starts spinning at ~500W loads(or ultra high ambient temps) so you'll never actually see or hear the fan spinning with your hardware.

I wouldn't put too much emphasis on the fanless thing, the fans on my AX850 for example only kick in at ~40% load so it doesn't make any noise at idle and at load the GPU fan drowns out the other fan noises anyway.

A seasonic x750 has plenty of power, enough to run 2 gtx 680s, plus it is compact, completely modular, and with the system you are planning would be virtually silent. The fan rarely spins in my system and when it does I can't hear it at all. Your CPU cooler and gtx 680 will be much louder even if you are stressing that PSU.

Go for a Seasonic. They're quiet and have great build quality.

Isn't Cougar HEC? HEC can go die in a fire, I dunno about this Cougar stuff. You only need a 450-500w psu. I'd grab that Kingwin Stryker if that's how much you wanna spend.

Another vote for either Seasonic X650/750, or Corsair AX650/750.

Yes the Cougar are made by HEC. However they're actually decent PSUs. Not the best but decent enough. However I'd probably wouldn't get or recommend a Cougar myself since I don't know how good their customer support here in the U.S are. IIRC, it's ok over in Europe but not sure about the U.S.

Yeah, to hell with that. If its associated with HEC then that's more then enough reason in my book to not deal with them.

Just go for a HX750. I never really liked the fully modular PSU. It actually looks a bit more cluttered than the semi-modular PSUs when all the cables are plugged in.
