PSU Reccomendation

Look for PSUs in your budget, then look for professional reviews of those PSUs ([H]OCP, Jonnyguru, and a few others).

I was looking to narrow it down a bit. Posting here because I would like a bit more advice then JFGI.

Is it worth looking for Fluid Bearing Fans?
Gold vs Platinum?
Brands to Avoid/ best in breed?
Recommendations?

at 450 full load, u don't need more than 600-650 one. buying a bigger one will be ok for the future (who knows if someday you will not have a SLI idea). Go for Seasonic or Corsair RM/AX series

I am a firm believer of at least doing some of the legwork yourself before asking for advice. We are not paid consultants, we do this on our free time and out of our own goodwill. Therefore, in my opinion, at least some effort should be made prior to asking for help. A super vague "tell me what to buy" is not an indication of effort being made, especially with no information about budget or guiding questions.

Now, as for the questions you are asking:
1. No, fans do not matter.
2. Only if you care about efficiency. The difference being about 2-3% at most.
3. Brands don't matter. Only the model matters, and more specifically the OEM platform of that model.
4. You have a ~400 watt system at maximum overclock on air, and ~300 watts at stock. Unless you have serious plans to do SLI, don't consider anything larger than 650 watts, ideally something in the 550 watt range. Also, don't use Arctic Silver 5. It is outdated and there is better stuff out there for less.

Fair enough, I can see how it would come across that way. I'll include more details in the future.

I have spent hours looking @ PSU's and I don't feel like I have a much better idea then when I started. Fairly solid on most pieces in my build, but not the PSU.

I want something that's not super loud, Going to go a bit over what i need, so looking at 750W or so. I want to leave it open for growth. I will likely end up adding several more HD's and SLI is an option, etc.
One of the longer warranties would be nice, I know some manufacturers have 10 Years.

Amazon.com: Corsair RM Series, RM750, 750 Watt (750W), Fully Modular Power Supply, 80+ Gold Certified: Computers & Accessories
5 year warranty, but its quiet/ slim

EVGA 220-G2-0750-XR 80 PLUS GOLD 750W ECO Mode Fully Modular NVIDIA SLI Ready and Crossfire Support Continuous Power Supply-Newegg.com
10 year warranty but no info on noise. I think for my load, it should be super quiet.

Guess I am just looking for some direction/ guidelines to help me.

EVGA G2 is always a solid choice. Quietness is primarily dependent on efficiency, the more efficient the PSU, the less heat it puts out, the cooler it is and the quieter it will run, since most fan controllers are temperature based rather than load based. That said, 90+% of gold PSUs in the 850 watt range or less are near silent in most load conditions.
