hey guys! this is my first post so forgive any first time noob errors. I have specced a high end sli rig for my friend and would like a psu reccomendation. I have picked one already but would like to hear from the peanut gallery to make sure I have not missed anything major.

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 Conroe 2.4 gig
Mobo: EVGA 122-ck-nf68-ar nforce 680i SLI
Memory: Corsair XMS2 2 GB (2 x 1gb) DDR2 1066
PSU: Silverstone SST-ST75ZF 750 SLI Certified
HD: Seagate Barracuda 500 GB 7200 3.0 GBs
Video Cards: 2 x EVGA 8800 GTS 320 MB
Case: Cooler Master Praetorian 730 Mid Tower
CPU Cooler: Zalman CNPS-8000

Thanks for your input guys!

It's perfect. The only thing I would suggest is swaping the Zalman CNPS8000 for something else; it's not the best performer, nor the quietest, and there are better available. Scythe Ninja, Mine, or Infinity, Thermalright Ultra90, Ultra120, SI120, SI128, etc. jab-tech.com usually has the best price on these coolers.

I chose that cpu cooler because I have that one personally and am happy with it, so I reccomended it based on my personal experience. Plus I was told that most mobos manufacturers only warranty sp? boards if the cpu cooler weighs less than 400 gms. I have noticed that most cooler are 2-3 times heavier than that, the golden orb for example.

Help a brutha out here please :D

Oh, makes sense.

And, for the record, I don't think mobo manufacturers only warrenty up to 400grams. It's the CPU manufacturer that might be concerned, and with those, warrenty only valid if used with stock cooler.

the 320mb GTS's might hurt you in the long run. Might as well as spring for at least the 640mb versions especially considering they can be had for not too much more...

hmm I dont see where you are getting your video card deal but the EVGA 8800 GTS is $300 on Newegg and the GTX version is $569. Thats 80% more per card.

OK Johnny good point there ;) Is there anyway to find out how long the pci-x 6 pins cables are? The reason I ask is with all this stuff in a mid tower it will be tight, I origionally had him into a Cooler Master Full tower, but scaled back because I read that many people were having issues with the bottom video card and the power cord being long enough to reach it.
Any ideas guys?
